Fir Needle Essential Oil, White | Silver

Fir Needle Essential Oil, White | Silver aka Fir Needle, White (Silver Fir) Essential Oil (Abies alba) Austria – Wildcrafted Therapeutic Quality White Fir Essential Oil | White Fir Oil.

A member of the Pinaceae family, the silver (or white) fir is a majestic, towering evergreen conifer cultivated in the regional mountains of Switzerland, Poland, Germany, France, Canada, Austria, and the former Yugoslavia.

Our Fir Needle Essential Oil White | Silver is extracted from the tree’s needles and young twigs via the process of steam distillation. As some fir needle oils sold by other essential oil providers may be contaminated by oil and gas from chain saws used in cutting the trees, we prefer to obtain oil distilled from the hand-harvested tips and needles of wild or organically grown trees.

Fir Needle Essential Oil White | Silver is a colorless-to-pale yellow liquid with a rich, sweet, green, resinous balsamic odor. Aromatically it blends well with galbanum, lavender, rosemary, lemon, pine, eucalyptus, tea tree and marjoram.

White Fir Needle Essential Oil aka White Fir Essential Oil or Silver Fire Needle Essential Oil has the properties of antibacterial, antifungal, analgesic, antiseptic (pulmonary), anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antitussive, antirheumatic, decongestant, expectorant, restorative, stimulating, and tonic. It is traditionally used by those who suffer from arthritis, rheumatism, muscle aches and pain, nervous exhaustion, bronchitis, coughs, colds/flu, respiratory system infections, sadness or depression, withdrawal, mental or emotional fatigue and exhaustion, and/or stress.

More Info:

White Fir Needle has long been used in European folk medicine for respiratory complaints, fever, rheumatism and other muscular aches and pains. The old Irish name for fir is ailm, which means to go forward and also will or desire. In Scandinavian folk lore, the Spirit of the Forest is traditionally depicted holding an uprooted fir tree. The fir tree, because of its great size and evergreen needles, has been held in high esteem wherever it grows. In Russia, for example, fir trees that are downed by storms are traditionally given to the church rather than being sold in commerce. And, of course, firs are among the trees traditionally used in celebrations of the Winter Solstice and Christmas.
