Eucalyptus Blue Mallee Essential Oil
Eucalyptus Blue Mallee Essential Oil (Eucalyptus polybractea) from Australia is Therapeutic Quality.
Native to Australia, the Blue mallee (Eucalyptus polybractea) is a much smaller relative of its eucalyptus cousins. This many-trunked tree has smooth bark and narrow gray-green leaves. It is from the tree’s fresh leaves that Eucalyptus Blue Mallee Essential Oil is obtained via steam distillation.
Our cultivated Therapeutic Quality Eucalyptus Blue Mallee Essential Oil is colorless to pale yellow with a sharp, fresh, somewhat medicinal odor. Aromatically, this oil blends well with lavender, lemon, pine, rosemary, and thyme.
Eucalyptus Blue Mallee Essential Oil has properties which include analgesic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antineuralgic, antiseptic (pulmonary), antispasmodic, antitussive, antiviral, balsamic, decongestant (pulmonary), depurative, expectorant, immunomodulator, febrifuge, mucolytic, pulmonary, rheumatic, rubefacient, stimulant (respiratory), tonic, and vulnerary.
Primarily used for respiratory and musculoskeletal complaints, Eucalyptus Blue Mallee Essential Oil has also been used for skin problems such as abscesses, acne, boils, burns, blisters, cuts and other wounds, herpes simplex, insect bites and stings, skin infections, and for necrotic ulcers.
Among the respiratory issues it has been used for are asthma (by properly trained medical professionals only), bronchitis, colds and flu, sinus and chest congestion, sinus infection, sore throat, and laryngitis.

It should not be used with children, especially around their nose or face. Large amounts of eucalyptus oils may be unpleasantly stimulating or interfere with sleep.
